Appointments

As we do our utmost to minimise waiting times, we ask that you arrive at least five minutes prior to your scheduled appointment to complete a new patient registration form.

And since we allow plenty of time for consultations, should you need to cancel or rearrange your appointment, we kindly ask that you give us at least 48 hours notice.

Payment

We ask that you pay your consultation fee at the time of your appointment, and remind you to bring your referral letter with you to ensure you can claim your Medicare rebate (where applicable).

Dr Garry Buckland – consultant specialist in plastic, reconstructive and cosmetic surgery - heads up our team. Dr Buckland has completed Australia’s highest level of surgical training, the Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS) and is a council member of the Australian Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS) and member of the Australian Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons (ASAPS).

Dr Buckland has 15 years of experience in plastic, reconstructive and cosmetic surgery. He has a special interest in cosmetic and reconstructive surgery of the breast, performing over 100 reconstructive breast operations (after breast cancer) a year. Dr Buckland is also passionate about offering his cosmetic patients and anyone interested in their skin’s health, a comprehensive range of non-surgical cosmetic procedures in the safe setting of a plastic surgery practice. This is why he opened the Mosman Skin Clinic in his rooms as part of this commitment to providing a full range of cosmetic procedures under the one roof.

Dr Buckland is a Visiting Medical Officer (VMO) at Castlecrag Private Hospital, North Shore Private Hospital and Prince of Wales Private Hospital. From 1999-2008 he was a VMO at the Royal Hospital for Women, Sydney Childrens’ Hospital and Prince of Wales Hospital, where he was the Head of Department of Plastic Surgery from 2004 until 2008.

Dr Buckland has travelled to the Asia-Pacific region with Interplast, an Australian charity organisation of plastic surgeons who donate surgical services to developing nations. There he has performed cleft palate repairs and trained local surgeons to improve their skills in reconstructive surgery. Dr Buckland is also committed to teaching here in Australia, both to undergraduate medical students and to plastic surgeons-in-training. From 1999 until 2006, Dr Buckland served on the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons NSW training committee in plastic surgery. He attends many conferences, both in Australia and overseas as part of his commitment to continued medical education and his own professional development. This ensures he keeps up with the very latest advances in his field.
